Meet the Mental Health Counselors
Ms. Hatfield is a proud alumna of Batesburg-Leesville High School. In 2008 she graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications. After working as a contract employee with the South Carolina National Guard, she made the decision to pursue her Master of Social Work so that she could better help others. Ms. Hatfield graduated with her Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina in 2020. She has extensive work history in crisis intervention, suicide prevention, and substance use prevention. Outside of school she enjoys spending time with her fiancé, reading all sorts of books, being outside with her dogs, and going to Edisto.

A resident of Newberry County, Ms. Longshore is new to the Batesburg-Leesville area and the Lexington 3 District, but already feels at home. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Lander University and worked for a brain-injury rehabilitation program before obtaining her Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina. Ms. Longshore is a Licensed Independent Social Worker-Clinical Practice, Licensed Addiction Counselor, and a Clinical Supervisor through the State of South Carolina. For many years, Ms. Longshore worked as a clinical counselor for Westview Behavioral Health Services, focusing on substance use disorder services and other behavioral health issues. Most recently, she served as the Director of Treatment Services for the agency. In addition to her passion to help others, she enjoys spending time with her three children, family and friends, reading, walking and practicing yoga.
