Lexington County School District Three has been celebrating this year's retirees all week long! We started the fun on Tuesday evening (May 14th) when we recognized each retiree at the monthly Board of Trustees meeting that was held at the District Office. Then, on Wednesday, May 15th we hosted a reception for retirees and their families in the front lobby of the brand new gymnasium that's been built on the campus of B-L High School. Retirees had the opportunity to tour the new facility, enjoy delicious food, reminisce about their careers, and take home their very own rocking chair so that they can relax some in retirement.
Congratulations to the following individuals who are embarking on new adventures!
Alvin Abner
Allison Cook
Jane Derrick
Mary Graham Foulks
Donna Padgett
Patricia Rodgers
Nancy Roudybush
Dianne Shepherd
Gary Smallen
Nancy Swygert
Collectively, this year's retiree class has devoted more than 202 years of service to Lexington County School District Three alone! This does not include years they may have spent at other school district across the state.
It's been an honor to celebrate these individuals this week and we wish them nothing but happiness and rest in retirement! Check out more pictures on our social media pages!
