"Southern Fried Funeral" is a big-hearted comedy about family--southern style! The plot is centered around the death of Dewey Frye and how his family is left to pick up the pieces following his passing. Not only does matriarch Dorothy have to contend with sudden widowhood, but she's also faced with church-committee harpy Ozella Meeks sticking her nose in the family business, Dewey's snake-in-the-grass brother making a grab for her house, and two grown daughters reliving their childhood rivalry. Funerals bring out the worst, the best, and the funniest in people, and the Fryes are no exception.
Anyone interested in buying their ticket ahead of time can drop by the Haynes Theatre starting Tuesday, December 10th through Thursday, December 12th from 3:30 pm until 8:00 PM. Cash or cards are accepted. If you can't make it to the ticket pre-sale, you can purchase your tickets on the production days at the Haynes Box Office. The Box Office will open an hour and a half prior to showtime. Tickets are general admission and are first come, first served. Tickets are $8 for Lexington Three students and $12 for the general public.
