The Lexington County School District Three Board of Trustees approved Michelle Maroney as the new Assistant Principal of B-L Primary School at its meeting on Tuesday, June 8th. Ms. Maroney has worked at B-L Primary School for the past four years, first as a second grade teacher, then as the school’s literacy coach, and most recently as the Instructional Coordinator. In 2019, she was named as B-L Primary School’s Teacher of the Year.
Ms. Maroney holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Toccoa Falls College and a Master of Education degree in Administration and Supervision from Clemson University. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, including her seven-year-old daughter, Grace. She also loves to read and knit.
Ms. Maroney said she’s looking forward to continuing to work with her Panther family in her new role.
