The B-L High School JROTC hosted a very dignified flag retirement ceremony the morning of April 5th on the front lawn of BLHS.
The ceremony for disposal of unserviceable American flags is outlined in Resolution No. 440, which was passed by the 19th National Convention of The American Legion in New York in September of 1937.
JROTC members followed flag code by properly removing the old American flag, folding it, and placing it in a barrel to be burned. Afterwards, a new American flag was raised in its place.
Thanks to everyone who came out to support our JROTC!
